Richard and me talkin’ the talk

Today, Richard Vignola and I headed to Kelowna to chat with some kids about eating great food! We were graciously invited by Central Programs & Services school to spend a bit of time sharing our passion for food and how it has enhanced our lives. Both Richard and I had our little stories to tell and we really enjoyed how the kids received us.

One of the things that I felt really resonated with these kids is when Richard talked about how food really is the true connection to community. When sharing food, we really are connected to one another and that inspires us to be better people. It was great to see the class enjoy the snacks we brought and boisterously interact with us.

We loved being invited and we hope to visit again! Next time though… we wanna COOK!

Rancho Vignola proudly supports ProjectCHEF, an organization out of Vancouver that is an experiential, curriculum-based school program aimed at children in kindergarten to grade seven that teaches students about healthy food: where it comes from, what it tastes like, how to prepare it and how to enjoy sharing it around a table.
