Richard and the low-down on Breakfast Mix

May 02, 2014

Even though breakfast is the most important meal of the day, for many of us, we just don’t make adequate time in the morning to nourish ourselves properly.

In this video, Richard explains a simple way to make a quick and nutritious breakfast for yourself or a whole family. Rancho Vignola proudly produces our own line of trail mixes that are unique, colourful and delicious. Our Breakfast Mix is the product of Richard’s experimenting with which nuts, seeds and dried fruit he loves on his morning oats. Containing all certified organic raisins, dried cranberries, baby native pecans, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds and pumpkin seeds, this balanced mix meets a body’s requirements to start a good day.

High in antioxidants to help fend off free radicals and omega-3s and omega-6s to feed the brain as well as the body, Rancho Vignola’s Breakfast Mix is sweet enough so you don’t have to add anything else to your oats to make them taste delicious. However, a bit of yogurt and a drizzle of molasses is a real treat on top!

Rancho’s Breakfast Mix Oatmeal

  • ½ cup Rancho’s breakfast mix
  • 1 cup olled oats
  • Pinch of salt
  • Enough water to just cover mixture

Optional:
Milk of choice or yogurt to add to soaked mixture when warming on stove for a more creamy oatmeal.

Directions:
Place the ½-cup of Rancho Vignola’s Breakfast Mix in a pot with one cup of rolled oats and a pinch of salt. Pour water to just cover mixture in pot. Place in fridge and let soak overnight.

When you take your soaked breakfast mix oatmeal out of the fridge the next morning is the time if you want to added milk or yogurt into the soaked mixture until you reach your preferred consistency. Heat oatmeal if desired, but don’t over cook it!
