Athlete Update – Introducing Olivia Lahey & Tylee Carr

March 07, 2023

It’s time we highlight the two newest and also youngest athletes we’re sponsoring this season!

First up, meet Olivia Lahey.

Olivia is one of the U16 racers who competes with the Vernon Ski Club. She is crushing it this year and making huge strides in her competitors bracket.

This season so far Olivia has qualified for the BC winter games, which are being hosted locally in Vernon this year. She tried out for the Canada games as well but did not make a qualifying time. She is looking forward to the BC winter games coming up in a few short weeks and very excited to cheer on her teammates that are going to the Canada winter games.

Olivia has been loving her Rancho products, especially the apple chips and milk chocolate almonds for a quick snack. She has been working on creating her on trail mix for a healthy snack on the hill which includes pistachios, cranberries and almonds.

A warm welcome to Tylee Carr!

Tylee is also on the U16 racing team who competes with the Vernon Ski Club. Tylee has been working hard training this year and it definitely shows!

She has finished at the top of the podium in her first two races this season up at Apex mountain in Keremeos and the other at Sunpeaks in Kamloops. Some of her most recent races have not resulted in the same success but she is excited to see what the rest of the season brings and for Westerns at Red Mountain at the end of the month saying “ I am going to come back even stronger!”. Tylee has been loving the chia seeds she got and using them to make chia seed pudding by adding milk.
